Facilities & Capacity

Nameplate capacity by facility. Capacity is what a plant is rated to produce, not what it actually produced — for measured output see the Production tab.

Production Dashboard

Mineral output for Iran, Oman and Saudi Arabia, with a unit and a confidence tier on every series. Select a year and commodity to compare across the region.

Reading this data. Bars and points for 2026–2027 are MaadenX projections, not measurements — they appear dashed, shaded and triangle-marked. Hover any point for its tier (actual, partial, estimate or forecast) and any caveat attached to that specific figure. Projections extend the 2020–2025 trend adjusted for announced capacity and demand outlook; the reasoning is recorded per commodity. Energy series are legacy estimates and sit outside the scope of the mineral tables.

Full Production Table

Every commodity and every year on one grid, in a single uniform format. Pick a country and a year. Each row carries its own unit and confidence tier, so a measurement never reads the same as a projection.

Export & Import Flows

Mineral trade balance and key export commodities for each MENA country. Indicative only: unlike the production series above, these figures are a single undated snapshot and carry no tier. Treat them as orders of magnitude, not measurements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I explore on the MaadenX Data Explorer?

The Data Explorer combines two views in one place. An interactive infrastructure map plots 120+ mines, smelters, refineries, and ports across the MENA region, filterable by commodity and country. A production dashboard charts mineral output by country and commodity from 2020 to 2027, with the unit shown on every series.

How is the mineral production data organised?

Iran, Oman, and Saudi Arabia each have a full production table covering every commodity for every year from 2020 to 2027, selectable by country and year. Every figure carries its unit and a tier showing whether it is a measured actual, a partial roll-up, an estimate, or a forecast, so a projection never reads the same as a measurement.

Are the 2026 and 2027 figures real measurements?

No. Figures for 2026 and 2027 are MaadenX projections and are shown dashed and shaded so they cannot be mistaken for measured data. Each one extends the 2020 to 2025 trend adjusted for announced capacity and demand outlook, and records the reasoning behind the number alongside the figure itself.

Can I compare minerals trade between countries?

Yes. MaadenX trade analytics let you explore import and export flows, trade balances, and commodity movements between MENA countries and their partners, making it easy to see who produces, who buys, and how regional supply chains connect.
